Funeral services for Mrs. Maggie Lyles, age 100 of Cookeville, will be held at 11 am Tuesday, December 15 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Heady officiating. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 – 8 pm and Tuesday from 10 am until service time. Mrs. Lyles died Friday evening, December 11, 2015 at Signature Healthcare of Putnam County in Algood, TN. She was born September 25, 1915 in Putnam County to the late Dillard and Maudie Stout Fields. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Allen Lyles; four sisters, Edna Cowan, Doretta Woody, Ellen Compton, and Rosetta Smith; daughter-in-law, Brenda Lyles; and grandson-in-law, Randy Wilder. Mrs. Lyles was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Gainesboro. She was retired from Wilson Sporting Good's in Cookeville. She enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens. She is survived by her son John Thomas (Tom) Lyles; grandson, Darryl Lyles (wife Kim); granddaughter, Lisa Lyles Wilder, all of Cookeville; four great-grandchildren, Alexis Lyles of Cookeville, Bethany Rodgers (husband Nick) of Dayton, OH, Peyton Keen (husband Tyler) of Cookeville, Reagan Bernstein (husband Chris) of Louisville, KY; three great-great grandchildren, Aaron and Andrew Rodgers and Eli Keen; sister-in-law, Maddie Roth of Cookeville; and special friends, Richard and Sandy Bean of Cookeville.
