Magnolia Swallows

MONTEREY-Funeral services for Magnolia Swallows, age 94 of Monterey, will be at 2 p.m. Monday November 8 at Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Merle Miller will officiate. Interment will follow at Welch Memorial Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Sunday 5-8 p.m. and again Monday from 12 noon until time of service both at the funeral home. Mrs. Swallows passed away Monday November 1, 2021 at her home. She was born April 25, 1927 in Overton County, TN to the late Arthur and Maude Anne Bowman Phillips. Mrs. Swallow was retired from food service at Monterey High School. She is survived by her son, Randall Swallows (Barb Burke) of Dayton, OH; brothers, Junior (Joyce) Phillips, Charles (Wanda) Phillips all of Arizona; Elza Swallows of Monterey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Melvin Swallows; son, Russell Swallows; brother, Luther Phillips; and three infant brothers, J.R., Kenneth Phillips and Harold Phillips.
