Funeral services for Malcolm Lansden Hill, 78 of Cookeville will be conducted Thursday June 28 at 7 p.m. Northeast Church of Christ in Cookeville. Malcolm Hill passed from this life on Tuesday morning, June 26, 2012 at Bethesda Health Care Center. He came into the world January 12, 1934 born to the M. L. "Doc"� Hill and Cecil Moredock Hill of Willow Grove, Tennessee, and he grew up in Livingston. He was a gospel preacher for over 60 years in the Church of Christ, a Christian educator and an elder in the Lord's church for 34 years. He was founding president of Southeastern Institute of the Bible (Heritage Christian University) in Florence, Alabama, and founding President of Tennessee Bible College in Cookeville serving as Chancellor at the time of his death. Survivors include his wife of 55 � years, Billie Ruth Bilyeu Hill (whom he married December 13, 1956 in Livingston); two sons and a daughter, David (Lisa) Hill of Cookeville, Victor (Tonya) Hill of Livingston, and Tammi Hill of Cookeville, four grandchildren, Mallory (Jonathan) Huddleston, Pate Hill, Tyler Hill all of Cookeville and Lane Hill of Livingston; two brothers, Joe (Reilly) Hill, Jerry (Linda) Hill all Livingston; and sisters, Ruth Maynard of Livingston, and Betty (Bill) Barnes of Rickman, along with a host of nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, brothers, Robert Hill, and Danny Hill; and sisters, Wynell Terry, and Kathy Langford. Glenn B. Ramsey, Kerry Duke and Paul Wilmoth will officiate at the services. Active pallbearers will be Elders and Deacons of the Northeast Church of Christ. Honorary pallbearers will be the Board of Trustees of Tennessee Bible College and the Algood McDonald's breakfast bunch. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of services at Northeast Church of Christ. Memorial donations may be made to the Malcolm Hill Living Memorial at Tennessee Bible College, PO Box 865, Cookeville, TN 38503 or the Northeast Church of Christ Mission Fund, 450 Grandview Drive Cookeville, TN 38501.
