Marcia Heady

Funeral service for Marcia Elaine Heady, age 60, of Cookeville, will be held at 3pm Sunday, August 18 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev Patricia Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the Algood City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 – 8 pm and again Sunday from 1 pm until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Heady died Thursday August 15, 2013 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 17, 1952 in Cookeville to Willie Jr. and Virginia Cooper Arms. Mrs. Heady was a member of Algood United Methodist Church. She was employed at Cookeville Regional Medical Center for over 42 years, most recently serving as the Director of Admissions and Registration. Marcia was a loving and devoted wife, mother and Nana. Marcia loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed watching old movies, vacationing in the mountains, and big Christmas celebrations with her family. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Danny Heady (whom she married April 9, 1994 in Algood); son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Amie Warren of Mulberry, AR; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Patrick Guyon de Chemilly of Acworth, GA, and Kimberly Heady and Tom Hunter of Cookeville; two sisters and brother-in-law, Ann and David Mitchell, and Jan Arms, all of Acworth, GA; four grandchildren, Cooper Guyon de Chemilly, Robert Warren, Aubrey Hunter, and Ben Brewer; and nephew, Hatten Mitchell. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dwight Arms. Pallbearers will be Sam Warren, Bill Smith, Jerry Summers, Hatten Ray Mitchell, Eddie Pharris, Randy Porter, Tommy Copeland, and Glen Cooper. Honorary Pallbearer will be Phil Brown.
