Martha Stout

Funeral services for Martha Elizabeth Jackson Stout, age 101, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday January 4 in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. T.A. Bryan will officiate. Interment will follow in the Crest Lawn Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Stout passed away Tuesday evening December 31, 2019 at Quality Care Health Center in Lebanon, TN. She was born August 31, 1918 in Jackson County, TN to the late Vannie Lee Jackson and Mary Jane Stout Jackson Mrs. Stout was a member of the Cookeville Church of God. She is survived by two sons, Dann Stout of McMinnville, and Bob Stout of Lebanon; daughter, Peggie Anderson of Nashville; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great grandchildren; and two great-great-great grandchildren; one niece, Jo Ruth Carr of Cookeville; and two cousins, Paul Huff of Pleasant Shade, TN; and Ginger Gillo of Canon, GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bernice Stout; two sons, Billy Joe Stout, and Myrl Dowell Stout; sister, Lera Brown; and daughter-in-law, Evelyn Pippin Stout. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Quality Care Health Center and Avalon Hospice for their compassionate and tender care.
