Funeral services for Mary Elmore Brown, 80 of Baxter will be held Sunday, September 18 at 2 P.M. from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in New Home Baptist Church Cemetery in the Boma Community of Putnam County. Mrs. Brown died Friday afternoon, September 16, 2011 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born December 3, 1930 in Putnam County to the late William "BILL"� Robert and Fern Gentry Elmore. She was a retired store clerk with the former family business Elmore"�s Grocery in Baxter and a member of Baxter First Church of God. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Doyle Brown, and her daughter-in-law Julie Goff Brown, two sisters, Christine Elmore Phillips and Irene Elmore May, two brothers Willie Elmore and Robert Elmore. Survivors include two sons & a daughter-in-law Harold & Sarah Brown, and Eric Brown; her brother& sister-in-law Joe & Dianne Elmore all of Baxter, and three grandchildren :Justin Brown and special friend Melody Fordham of Cookeville, Amanda Brown Harris and husband Brett of Sparta, Isaiah Brown of Baxter, "Special Grandchildren"� Amy Herren, Robert & Amanda Hester, special Great-Grandchildren: Gabe & Nick Hester. Bro. Philip Marsh and Bro. Archie Whitefield will officiate. Mrs. Brown"�s family will receive friends Saturday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
