Funeral services for Mary Edith Adkins Freeman, 71, of Cookeville will be held Thursday, November 8 at 1 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Malone officiating. Interment will follow in Algood City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday 5p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Ms. Freeman died Monday, November 5, 2012 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born December 17, 1940 in Putnam Co. TN to the late Jesse Frank and Mildred Edith Bilbrey Adkins. Ms. Freeman worked as a bank teller for 38 years for Cookeville Federal and Regions Bank. She enjoyed traveling, antiquing, gardening, and spending time with her beloved family. She was of the Baptist faith In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Leigh Freeman; and a brother, Tommy Adkins. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jayne and Vincent Neville of Prospect, KY; two grandchildren, Cameron and Kate Neville; and two sisters, Dean Ham of Algood and Katherine Haynes of Cookeville, and numerous nephews and friends. Mike Adkins, Aaron Adkins, DeWayne Adkins, Phil Smith, Shawn Allison and Danny Kilpatrick will serve as pallbearers. Ms. Freeman"�s family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Mended Hearts, Inc., Chapter 127, 228 West 4th St., Suite 100, Cookeville, TN 38501.
