Mary Goolsby

Graveside service and interment for Mary Ann Goolsby, 81 of Cookeville, will be Sunday, July 26 at 4 PM at Double Springs Cemetery. There will be no public visitation at the funeral home. Mrs. Goolsby died Thursday, July 23, 2020 at NHC Healthcare of Cookeville. She was born December 16, 1938 in Coalinga, California to the late Barney and Nina Elmore Gibbons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Carl Gibbons. She retired on December 31, 1998 with thirty-one years of service as a secretary with the State of Tennessee in the Department of Human Services. She was a member of Fairview Church of Christ. Survivors include husband of 58 years (Married December 23, 1961) Joseph "Joe" Floyd Goolsby, daughter Pam Goolsby both of Cookeville, son and daughter-in-law Randall and Evangeline Goolsby of Washington, North Carolina, granddaughter Yumi Grace Matsunaga, nephews Buddy Gibbons and Mike Gibbons.
