Mary Myers

November 28, 1943 — February 22, 2021

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come and his wife hath made herself ready And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints------Revelation 19:7-8 Mary Ann Myers, formerly Mary Ann Thompson of Silver Point, Tennessee, passed away into eternal glory on Monday, February 22, 2021. She was 77 years old. Mary was a member of Algood Church of Christ. She loved fishing almost as much as she loved our Lord! Born to Carlton and Dixie Thompson (deceased) of Silver Point, Tennessee, Mary was the eldest daughter of their six children. Preceded in death are two brothers, Hubert Thompson of Silver Point, R.J. Thompson of Algood and one sister, Thelia (Elisha) King of Algood. She is survived by one brother, Alton (Gwen) Thompson of Detroit, Michigan and one sister, Ethel (Wes) Sherrill of Silver Point, Tennessee. Mary had been married to the late Jerry Dewitt Myers of Livingston, Tennessee. She has three surviving children, Stephanie Myers of Charlotte, North Carolina, Janis Marie Myers of Cookeville, Tennessee and Ronald Dewitt (Tina) Myers of Lebanon, Tennessee. Mary has a host of nieces and nephews: Robert Thompson of Silver Point, Marie Thompson of Cookeville, Robbie Thompson of Cookeville, Larry Thompson of Cookeville, Eddie Thompson of Lebanon, Joe Ann King of Algood, Janell (Joey) Vernon of Cookeville, Marilyn Paige of Cookeville, Eric Thompson of Las Vegas, Brian Thompson of Las Vegas, Jason Sherrill of Murfreesboro, Kim Thompson of Detroit, and Nicole Thompson of Detroit. No longer with us are Mary’s nephews: the late Jeff Thompson, the late Keith Thompson, and one niece, the late Shawntae Sherrill. A special “Thank You” to Mr. Randy Johnson and Mr. Derrick Strode for all their help and support during our time of need. Thank you to Mrs. Evelyn Buck of Silver Point, Tennessee for always making our mother laugh and smile. She loved talking with you! The Myers Family Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world-----I John 4: 11-14 No services are planned at this time. Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. (931)526-6111 Share your thoughts and memories at www.hhhfunerals.com.
