Nancy Jo Fowler

Memorial services for Mrs. Nancy Jo Townsend Fowler of Cookeville will be held Thursday October 27 at 7 p.m. at Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Dr. Charles McCaskey and Dr. Perryn Rice will officiate. Ms. Fowler died Monday evening, October 17, 2011 at her home. She was born March 7, 1932 in Knoxville, Tennessee to the Harry Henderson and Frances Williams Gosnell. She was a homemaker and was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Cookeville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Townsend Spencer, and two brothers, Ray Gosnell and Mack Gosnell Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Robert "�Bob"� Fowler; (whom she married July 19, 1975); daughters and sons in law, Nancy Townsend Byers and husband Gary, Tina Townsend Thurman and husband Ron, all of Cookeville; Kathy LaVista of Miami, FL; Mym Fowler of Virginia Beach, VA; and Rebecca Michael of San Francisco, CA; sister Virginia "�Jenny"� Hale and husband Bill of Knoxville; brothers David "�Pop"� Gosnell of Kentucky and Jim Gosnell of Kansas; grandchildren, Jason B. Courtney and wife Brenda of Knoxville; Justin Lytal of Knoxville; Loren Lytal of Charlotte, NC; Blake Thurman and Parker Thurman of Cookevillel; Richard, Nicholas, and Alex Michael all of California and Vincent LaVista of Missouri. Mrs. Fowlers"�s family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Cumberland Presbyterian Church Assistance Fund, 565 East 10th St., Cookeville, TN 38501; Mustard Seed Ranch, PO Box 3814, Cookeville, TN 38502-3814 or to the East Tennessee Foundation "The Butterfly Fund"�, 625 Market Square, Suite 1400, Knoxville, TN 37902. Ms. Fowler"�s family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 p.m. until the time of the service at the church
