Nancy Simmons

Funeral services for Nancy Ann Simmons of Silver Point will be Wednesday, April10 at 11 A.M. from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home with interment to follow in Smellage Memory Gardens. Mrs. Simmons died Sunday morning, April 7, 2013 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born December 23, 1947 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to Joanette Heminger Haugk of Silver Point and the late Jack Haugk. She was a retired from Adams Plastic in Cookeville. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by brothers Donny Haugk and Rick Haugk, grandparents Ralph and Marie Heminger and Norman and Helen Haugk. Survivors in addition to her mother include husband of 46 years Bobby Simmons ( whom she married July 2, 1966 in Ft. Wayne, IND); four sons and daughters-in-law Danny and Tena Simmons of Baxter, Tommy and Cindy Simmons of Trussville, AL, Terry and Lisa Simmons of Sparta and Randy and Beth Simmons of Dover, Delaware, two sisters and brothers-in-law Karen (JIM) Menke of Greenwood, IND, Joyce (TIM) Overholt of Chesapeake, VA; three brothers and sisters-in-law Jim (Ellen) Haugk of Ft. Wayne, IND, Bob and Janice Haugk of Silver Point, Jack and Diana Haugk of Detroit, MI, sister-in-law Linda Haugk of Baxter, 12 grandchildren: Megan (Chris) Nixon, Mitchell, Mason, Jessica, Kayleen, Zack, Alicia, Chelsea, Brittany, Lindsey, Nick and Trent Simmons. Bro. Charlie Wills will officiate. Mrs. Simmons family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 to 8 P.M. and from 9 A.M. till service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the family.
