Funeral services for Mary Rachel Dyer, age 66, of Cookeville, will be held Sunday, March 20, at 1 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Bro. Aron Dillon and Bro. Bobby Kitchen officiating. Interment will follow in the Phillips Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5 - 8 p.m. and again Sunday from 12 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Dyer died Wednesday morning, March 16, 2016, at her home. She was born July 15, 1949 in Jackson Co, TN to the late Willard Eugene and Jewel Clara Goolsby Dillon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy and Bill Dillon. She was formerly employed at Red Kap in Cookeville and was the former owner T-Tommy's Market in Baxter. She is survived by a brother, Donnie Dillon of Cookeville; two sisters and brother-in-law, Jo and James Sponaugle of Smith County, TN, Charlotte Craddock of Cookeville; nieces, Bridget Murphy, Vanessa Sponaugle, Valerie Brooks, Terri Buchanan, Cheyenne Dillon, B.J. Beaty and Clara Garrett; nephews, Tommy Dillon Jr. and Jamin Sponaugle; and several great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be friends and family.
