Ray Nichols

BAXTER--Graveside services and interment for Mr. Raymond Thomas Nichols, age 74 of Baxter, will be held Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 2:00 pm in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Pastor Bobby Sebastian will officiate. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Mr. Nichols died Thursday morning, November 5, 2020 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born May 14, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Fred and Irene Bialas Nichols. Ray enjoyed life on the road working as a truck driver for several companies. A man of deep faith, Ray attended and served as an usher at Moody Church and Harvest Bible Chapel while living in Chicago. He and his wife Patricia moved to Baxter in September of 2013. They have attended Life Church Cookeville and Ray served as an usher and traveled with the church on mission trips to South America. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by daughter, Michelle Nichols and by brother, Larry Nichols. Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Patricia Barth Nichols; brother, George (Carol) Nichols of Alongonquin, IL; and by a grand niece he adored, Loralie Adams of Ashland City, TN.
