Richard Jones

Richard Phillip Jones, age 73 of Cookeville, passed away Tuesday March 2, 2021 at his home. Private memorial services will be planned for a later date. Richard was born March 27, 1947 in Camp Lejeune, NC to the late Alfred M. Jones Jr. and Mary Esther Bledsoe Jones. His father retired as a Lt. Col. from the US Marine Corp. Their family settled in Algood, TN in 1957. Rich attended and graduated from Algood High School. He was a veteran of the US Army. Richard owned a business in which he designed and installed custom kitchen cabinets. He is survived by his companion, Janice Whitehead; daughter, Jennifer (& Ben) Myers of Clayton, NC; brothers, Robert (& Susie) Jones of Gaithersburg, MD, and Ralph Jones of Arden, NC; grandchildren, Ceana (Jakson) Haverdink, Ally, Edyn Myers, and Makenzie Whitehead; nieces and nephews, Christopher Jones, Catherine Bohne, Michael Jones, Tracey Jones Rich, Jason Jones, and Brandon Jones; a special lifelong friend, Richard Lawrence Garrett.
