Funeral services for Mr. James Ronald "Ronnie" Ramsey, 69 of Cookeville will be held Sunday August 4 at 1 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Fox officiating. Interment will follow in Cooke Cemetery. Mr. Ramsey died Thursday evening August 1, 2013 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born February 11, 1944 in Cookeville, Tennessee to the late James Willard and Nellie Kate Pryor Ramsey. He was a member of Holladay Church of Christ and was retired from Ford Motor Company Glass Plant in Dearborn, Michigan with 28 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Barbara Wilmoth Ramsey (whom he married August 8, 1970 in Cookeville); sister, Mrs. Carol Melton of Johnson City, Tennessee; niece, Ashley (David) Blevins of Birmingham, AL; two nephews, Dr. Casey (Amy) Melton of Mobile, AL, and Scotty Melton of Montgomery, AL; and eight great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Danny Hall, Henry Amirkhanian, Dr. Casey Melton, Scotty Melton, David Blevins, Damon Cannon, and Kenny Ramsey. His family will receive friends Saturday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.
