Funeral services for Mr. Roy Cecil (also known as "Mike"�) Mason Jr., 67 of Cookeville will be held Wednesday February 22 at 1 p.m. at The River Community Church with Pastor Steve Tiebout and Pastor Steve Chapman officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Mr. Mason died suddenly Saturday evening February 18, 2012 in the Emergency Room at Cookeville Regional Medical Center following an apparent heart attack at his home. He was born October 3, 1944 in Tullahoma, TN to Mrs. Lucile Mason Faltus and the late Roy Cecil Mason Sr. Mr. Mason was a 1972 Graduate of Tennessee Technological University with a BS Degree in Business Management. He is a member of Alpha Kappa Psi. Mr. Mason was a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army from 1966-1969. He was a sales associate with Stover"�s Wholesale. For the past 15 years, he and his wife have owned and operated Affordable Travel. He was a longtime representative and former area manager for Woodmen of the World and was member and past president of Woodmen of the World Cookeville Lodge. He was an active member of The River Community Church where he served as Deacon and Greeter. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Mason and father-in-law, Don Bobo. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Donna Bobo Mason (whom he married July 11, 1965 in Huntsville, AL); son & daughter-in-law, Scott & April Mason of Blountville, TN; daughter, Jennifer Baker of Knoxville; his mother, Lucile Mason Faltus of Mesa, AZ; four grandchildren, Levi Baker, Avery Mason, Aubrey Mason, and Laci Baker; brother, Don Mason of Mesa, AZ; and a sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Chris Lucia of Petaluma, CA; mother-in-law, Glyndon Bobo of Lynchburg, TN; three brothers-in-laws and wives, Arvis & Peggy Bobo of Lynchburg, TN; Bob and Linda Bobo of Myrtle Beach, SC; Bill and Jo Ann Bobo of Lynchburg, TN; sister-in-law & husband, Linda & Wayne Chester of Hopkinsville, KY; and sister-in-law, Alice Gray of Lynchburg, TN; along with several special nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, especially cousin Carolyn Adams of Manchester, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The Mason"�s Special Life Group from The River and Fraternity Brothers will serve as honorary pallbearers. Mr. Mason"�s family will received friends Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home and Wednesday from 11 a.m. until service time at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
