Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Joyce Ward Ramsey, 90, of Cookeville will be held Friday March 16 at 10 a.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Bro. Glenn Ramsey, Bro. Chad Ramsey and Bro. Tim McHenry officiating. Interment will follow in Cooke Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Ramsey died Wednesday morning, March 14, 2012 at NHC of Cookeville. She was born September 1, 1921 in Putnam County, TN to the late Luther E. and Zona Mitchell Ward. Mrs. Ramsey was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a homemaker. She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Asberry Ramsey, four brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Ramsey is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Judy Ramsey, Kenny and Jan Ramsey, Denton and Martha Ramsey, two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Charles Maxwell all of Cookeville, Leisa and Wayne Huddleston of Nashville; a sister, Myrtle Ramsey of Cookeville; eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one expected in May; one brother-in-law, James W. Ramsey of Cookeville and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be Chris Ramsey, Tony Maxwell, Chad Ramsey, Tim McHenry, Lukas Schmid, Andrew Pippin, James Reecer and Tyler McHenry.
