Ms. Sherri Lea Arnold, age 51 of Cookeville, Tennessee, died Thursday, November 10, 2016, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Her family will receive friends Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Sherri was born August 30, 1965, in Geneva, Illinois, to the late Garland Thomas and Jo Ellen Christian Arnold. She was a graduate of Kaneland High School in Maple Park, IL and attended Kiswaukee College in Malta, IL. Sherri worked in banking before beginning a career in University Resident Life. She was employed at Northern Illinois University for 10 years. She has lived in Cookeville for the past three years, working in housing administration, assisting students living in Tech Village. She helped countless numbers of students as they entered college and was loved by the students she served. Sherri was known for her smile, one that lit up a room. Beautiful on the inside and out, she loved life and lived every day to the fullest. She will be dearly missed. Sherri is survived by her daughter, Breanna Burgess and her boyfriend Casar Camacho; beloved granddaughter, Lily Ann Camacho; significant other, Debbie Keating, all of Cookeville; brother, Kelly Winder of Kansas and Lee Rice and wife Connie of Arkansas; sister, Diane Anderson and husband Jeff of Batavia, IL; and special cousin, Brian Frost of Sycamore, IL.
