Sue Farris

Funeral Services for Sue Farris, age 75, of Sparta, will be held Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the West Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening, February 24 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Mrs. Farris died Thursday, February 23, 2012 at her home and surrounded by her family. She was born November 26, 1936 in Celina, TN to the late Francis E. Dubree and Loree Smith Dubree. Sue was a loving mother and wife, a faithful member of the O’Connor Church of Christ, and was known for her work as a seamstress, which she did for many years. Sue is survived by her husband, Rellon Farris; two daughters, Patty (Larry) Haston and Sissy Farris, both of Sparta: two sisters, Loama Heiskel and Bette Dubree, both of Cookeville; a brother-in-law, Freddie Alcorn and a sister-in-law, Bessie Dubree. Mrs. Farris was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Omer Dubree and Lex Dubree; a sister, Jean Alcorn; a sister-in-law, Nell Dubree and two brothers-in-law, Earl Fox and Keith Heiskel. Memorial contributions may be made to the O’Connor Church of Christ. Pallbears will be Michael Durbree, Ken Farris, Daryl Farris, Tim Farris, Cody Warren, Clint Warren, and Wayne Mayberry. Bro. Doyle Crawford will be conducting the service.
