Sue Wheeler

Mrs. Cleda Sue Wheeler, age 82 of Cookeville, died Saturday August 22, 2020 at her residence. Private family interment will be held at Crest Lawn Cemetery. She was born April 26, 1938 in Knox County, KY to the late Leland Walters and Opal Williams Wheeler. Sue was a longtime employee of Russell Stover Candy where she worked until her retirement. Sue was a positive and friendly person who had a love for life. She enjoyed cooking and the companionship of her dog, Bear. She was a longtime member of Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Truman Wheeler; and step daughter, Leslie Wheeler. Mrs. Wheeler is survived by sister, Sylvia Tackett of Cookeville; niece, Tammy Cook of Fletcher, NC; great niece and nephew, Drew Cook and Lauren Cook; and by stepson, Marty Wheeler.
