Suella Neal

Funeral services for Mrs. Suella Neal, age 78 of Cookeville, were held Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the Dyer Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Chaplain Erik Cremeans officiated. Interment followed in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family received friends Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until service at the Dyer Chapel. Social distancing and the use of masks were appreciated. Mrs. Neal died Friday March 19, 2021 at her residence. She was born July 22, 1942 in Overton County, TN to the late Ralph and Dorothy Howard Bowman. Mrs. Neal was a beautician, homemaker, and lifelong volunteer. She had a green thumb and loved gardening and all things outdoors. She was kind, giving and caring. She loved her family deeply and was always attentive to the needs of others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Murphy and Judy Bowman; and by brother, Dillious Bowman. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Willace Neal; daughter, Michelle (Eric) Holcombe of Thorn Hill, TN; son, Greg (Beth) Neal of Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Katie and Lauren Neal and Sydney, Will and Candace Holcombe; sister, Jeanette (Buddy) Crawford of Cookeville; and by brother, Paul (Patsy) Bowman of Nashville Pallbearers were family and friends.
