Susan Brown

Graveside services and interment for Susan Elaine Brown, age 64 of Cookeville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday November 14 at Smyrna Cemetery in Cookeville. Susan passed away Thursday November 12 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born April 28, 1956 in El Dorado Springs, MO, to Gene and Joann (Bullimore) Carriker. Susan graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1974. On June 9, 1978, she was united in marriage with Charley Brown in El Dorado Springs. To this union they had one son, John Charles Brown. She was baptized at a young age at the Filley Christian Church, where she later played the piano for many years. She worked various jobs including Wal-Mart, Dunbrooke and their feed store. Susan loved everything Christmas. She also enjoyed crafting, decorating and cooking for the family. Susan is survived by her husband Charley; son, John Brown of Lebanon; sister, Pat (Dirk) Reid of Allensville, KY; sister-in-law, Jo Green of El Dorado Springs, MO; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Beulah Brown, and her maternal and paternal grandparents. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 332 N Lauderdale, Memphis, TN 38105.
