Suu was born in Vietnam on March 10, 1940 to Le Vui and Le Thi Diu. She immigrated with her family in December 1975 to Cookeville where she resided for 40 years. A member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Suu was strong in her faith and lived her life being devoted to her husband and children. When her Parkinson’s disease progressed to the advance stage, she moved to Alexandria, Virginia in 2014 to be cared for by her daughters. She returned home to Cookeville for final resting place. Suu will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her children have this to say about her, “Your love and faith have provided a safe haven inspiring us with your endurance in the face of difficulties.” The family received friends on Sunday, January 17 from 5-8 pm at Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Funeral mass was held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 18 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with burial following at Crest Lawn Cemetery.
