A Life Celebration Service for Dr. Terry Ray Crabtree, age 69 of Livingston, will be held Saturday November 8 at 11 a.m.at Cookeville Life Church with Pastor Bobby Davis and Pastor David Corley officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hill Cemetery in the Alpine Community of Overton County. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 - 8pm at Cookeville Life Church and Saturday from 10 am until service time at the church. Terry passed away Wednesday afternoon November 5, 2014 at Livingston Regional Hospital with his wife, children and a few close friends by his side. Terry was born in Cookeville, Tennessee on April 30, 1945 to the late Elmo and Edith Speck Crabtree. Terry's life was dedicated to serving His Lord, friends, family and everyone around him. For many years he worked as the production manager at Berkline Corporation in Livingston, Tennessee. He traveled the Upper Cumberland preaching at churches in times of need. His heart for hurting and broken people led him to complete his doctorate degree in Christian Counseling. In recent years he has been on staff at Cookeville Life Church as a counseling pastor. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Judy Beaty Crabtree (whom he married April 7, 1973 in Livingston); three daughters and sons-in-law, Meredith and Bryan Vaughn, Terri and Ted McWilliams, all of Cookeville, Tabatha and Jeremiah Lewis of Gainesboro; son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy & Lauren Crabtree of Cookeville; 11 grandchildren, Carson, Elijah, Luke, Kaylyn and Joel Vaughn; Taylor, Ethan and Lily McWilliams; Jacob & Ruthie Crabtree; and Silas Lewis; sister, Marie Bush of Livingston; and nephews, Ricky McDonald and Gary Threet. Active Pallbearers will be family and friends Bryan Vaughn, Jeremy Crabtree, Ted McWilliams, Jeremiah Lewis, Ricky McDonald, Jim Madewell, Gary Lee Threet, and Gary Threet. Memorial contributions may be made to the Terry Crabtree Memorial Fund: %Cookeville Life Church 2223 N Washington Ave Cookeville, TN 38501 (This fund will be used to help send couples to marriage conferences and to help out small churches and pastors in the Upper Cumberland).
