BAXTER-Funeral services for Timothy "Tim" Dale Burton, 61 of Silver Point, will be Thursday, September 29 at 1 PM at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the G. V. Herren Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11 AM until service time at the funeral home. Bro. Luke Wilken will officiate.

Mr. Burton was dead on arrival Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Carthage, TN from injuries in a truck accident on I-40 in Smith County.

He was born March 23, 1961 in Cookeville to the late Bobby "Bob" Edward and Janice "Jan" Herren Burton.

Tim was a 1979 graduate of Upperman High School in Baxter.

He was a heavy equipment operator with Avenue Grading Construction Company in Nashville.

Tim enjoyed NASCAR racing and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Angela Mansell Burton on June 13, 2022.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Casey and Daniel Whitehead of Silver Point, son and daughter-in-law Tim Jr. and Melissa Burton of Seymour, TN, grandchildren: Paisley, Daiden and Bailey Whitehead, Ryan, Logan and Eli Burton, a host of cousins.

Jordy Ellis, Danny Burton, Ryan Burton, Daniel Whitehead, Daiden Whitehead, Tony Herren, and Fred Clair will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the funeral expenses.
