Funeral services for Mr. Timothy Howard Hammons, age 58, of Cookeville, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 17, at Cookeville First Baptist Church with Rev. Scott McKinney and Rev. Bill Stone officiating. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 - 8 p.m. and again Saturday from 12 - 2 p.m. at the church. Tim passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at his residence. He was born October 15, 1958 in Ferndale, MI to the late Rev. James Clay Hammons and Barbara Hammons Means of Cookeville. Tim graduated from Putnam County Senior High School in 1976. He formerly worked at Fleetguard for 17 years. He was a member of Cookeville First Baptist Church. He is survived by his former wife, Lisa Hammons of Cookeville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Maicie and Jason Hodge of Cookeville, Megan and Kyle Fuller of Chattanooga; son, James David Hammons of Cookeville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Melinda and Terry Norris of Auburn Hills, MI, Lisa and Mark Maxwell of Cookeville; two granddaughters, Eloise Hodge and Caroline Fuller; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Bruce Riddle, Ronnie Mayberry, Josh Anderson, David Hensley, Andrew Manzaro, and Keith Bean. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the men's prayer breakfast of First Baptist Church. Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
