Tom Hutcheson

Memorial gathering for Mr. George Thomas (Tom) Hutcheson, 63, of Smithville, will be noon until 5 p.m. Saturday, November 17, at his wife"�s home. Mr. Hutcheson died suddenly Friday, November 9, 2012 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born July 14, 1949 in Jamestown, TN to the late Buford Thomas and Josephine Wallace Hutcheson. Mr. Hutcheson was a Vietnam Veteran, having served in the U. S. Marines. He was a former Detective with the Gwinnett County Sherriff Department in Gwinnett County, Georgia. He was a Marine, husband, father, grandfather, and police officer. He is survived by his wife, Polly Singel Hutcheson (whom he married June 6, 2006 in Dekalb County, TN) three daughters and son-in-law, Tracy and Will Hill of Vance, AL, Maxine Hutcheson and Chelsey Suess, both of Smithville; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Jim Anderson of Houston, TX; two grandchildren Bella and Scarlett Hill; nephew, Jimmy Anderson and wife, Shelly and niece, Carylon and husband Denton.
