Velma Lambert

Funeral services for Mrs. Velma Lee Lambert, age 90, of Cookeville, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 1, at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Lynn Bullock officiating. Interment will follow at Cookeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 - 8 p.m. and again Thursday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Lambert passed away Monday, November 28, 2016 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born December 11, 1925 in Smith County, TN to the late Farmer P. and Bessie Ragland Brown. Mrs. Lambert was a member of Salem Methodist Church. She was retired from the former J.L Hudson's Department Store (Macy's) in Troy, MI. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim A. Lambert; and brother, Herman Brown. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Donna Lambert of Troy, MI; brother and sister-in-law, Sidney Harold and Jill Brown of State College, PA; grandson Scott Lambert of Troy, MI; granddaughter, Erica Veatch and her husband Aaron of Waterford, MI; and great-grandson, Aaron Paul Veatch.
