Virginia Burris

Graveside services and interment for Mrs. Virginia C. Burris, age 91 of Cookeville, were held Friday, January 29, 2021 at 11:00 am in Burris Cemetery in Jackson County. Mrs. Burris died Monday, January 25, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born January 31, 1929 in Jackson Co. to the late WK Lawson and Ova Green Scantlin Lawson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burris was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Burris; and by son in law, Herbie Hobbs. Mrs. Burris is survived by son, Jim Burris and wife Lori of Michigan; and daughter, Janet Hobbs of Murfreesboro. Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. (931)526-6111.
