W.C. Carroll Williams

Funeral Services for Mr. W.C. (Carroll) Williams, age 87, of Baxter, will be he held Friday, November 18, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, November 17, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in the Nash Cemetery. W.C. passed away Tuesday evening, November 15, 2011 at Master’s Health Care Center in Algood TN. He was born August 23, 1924 in Putnam County TN to the late Almer and Alta Massey Williams. Carroll was retired from the Delmans Corporation, and was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Williams is survived by one son, James Eugene (Mena) Williams of Baxter; grandchildren Greg Bowman, Sonya Bowman both of Monterey and Dava Whittaker of Sparta. W.C. is also survived by one sister, Erma Stover and two brothers Almer (Kitty) Williams and John R. (Joan) Williams, all of Baxter. In addition to his parents, W.C. was preceded in death by his wife Dessie Elizabeth Williams, an infant son Jerry Williams, sisters Emma Stover, Lula Williams, Myrtle Gambrel and Lydia Caldwell as well as brothers Calvin and Sherman Williams.
