Funeral services for Wilma Vaughn Bean Emerton, 77, of Cookeville will be held Thursday, October 13 at 11 a.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Rev. Jack Gentry will officiate. Burial will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Mrs. Emerton died Monday evening, October 10, 2011 at NHC of Cookeville. She was born June 1, 1934 in Cookeville to the late Walter and Vita Duke Vaughn. Mrs. Emerton was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Donald C. Bean and Eugene Emerton; and a son, Rodger Ray Bean. Mrs. Emerton is survived by a son and a daughter-in-law Ron W. and Valerie Bean of Lewisville, TX; one brother, Charles Vaughn of Cookeville; two sisters, Hallie Bohannon of Murfreesboro, and Lola Wooldridge of Nashville; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and a companion of 25 years, James Haggard. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
