COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Abigail Grace Maelle Hensley, beloved daughter, mother, granddaughter, sister, and friend, passed away on July 5, 2026, in Cookeville, Tennessee at the age of 27 . She was born on February 16, 1999, in Russia, bringing light and joy into the lives of all who knew her.
Abigail’s story is one of warmth, devotion, and a passion for the things and people she loved. She spent her early years forming lasting bonds with her family before embarking on a journey of learning and growth. Abigail attended Parkview Elementary and later graduated from Cookeville High School. Her commitment to education continued, as she pursued studies online at Troy University, displaying a dedication to bettering herself and broadening her horizons.
Abigail was known for her radiant spirit and her many interests. A devoted cat lover, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life, cherishing the companionship and affection that cats bring. She had a deep connection to music, letting melodies and rhythms color her days. Video games offered her a creative outlet and a source of fun, a passion she shared with friends and family. But above all, Abigail treasured the time she spent with her beloved son, Jaxon Stringfield. Her devotion to him was steadfast, and her love enriched his life profoundly.
She leaves behind her devoted mother, Deborah Hensley, whose unwavering support and care were guiding lights in Abigail’s life. She is also survived by her cherished son, Jaxon Stringfield; her loving brother, Adam Hensley; her grandparents, Vestle and Geneva Hensley, whose pride in Abigail knew no bounds; her aunt, Christia (Todd) Victor; her uncle, David (Stacey) Hensley; a host of cousins; and 2 cats, Sweetie and Charlie, who were just like her babies. Each of them will remember Abigail for her gentle heart, infectious smile, and the love she so freely gave.
While Abigail’s passing leaves a tremendous void, she is fondly remembered for the genuine kindness and goodness she brought into the world. Those who knew her will forever hold close memories of a young woman defined by compassion and a nurturing spirit.
