The Reverend Ms. Anne Livesay Rose, age 77, of Cookeville, died Friday, December 23rd at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. A memorial gathering will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Cookeville, TN, January 1, 2017 from 3pm until 4:30pm. She was born November 6, 1939 in Cookeville to the late Haskell Hinds and Lena Rose Bockman Livesay. She was a 1957 graduate of White County High School. She received a Bachelor Degree from the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia and a Master of Divinity from Pittsburgh (PA) Theological Seminary. Anne was as a member of the clergy with Presbyterian (U.S.A.) Church. She served in various roles within the church, as a counselor with military and civilian addiction centers and at a prison for teen girls, as a pastor in small and large congregations in Midwestern states, as a chaplain in nursing homes and hospitals and as a Synod Stated Clerk. She is survived by her children, Jereece McKee of Nashville; Jeff (Jennifer) Leathers of St. Louis, MO and Phillip Leathers of Washington, MI; grandchildren, Jessica (Stephen) Goodwin, Lindsey, Rebecca, Shelby and P.J. Leathers and Andrea Lin Leathers; great grandchildren, Dylan, Wyatt and Jayce Goodwin; sister, Wanda Jared of Cookeville; and by aunt and uncle, The Reverend Ernest and Lucille Bockman Robertson, of Cookeville; and by numerous cousins and extended family.
