COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Arlene E. Thiesen, beloved homemaker and cherished grandma, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Grandview Post Acute Care in Cookeville, Tennessee. Born on October 15, 1934, in Racine, Wisconsin, Arlene’s life was rich with love and dedication to her family and community.
Throughout her life, Arlene exemplified the virtues of kindness and nurturing. With her heart set on creating a loving home, she embraced her role as a homemaker and took great joy in raising her children. Her education in Racine laid the foundation for her inquisitive nature and commitment to lifelong learning.
Arlene was an active member of her local community as valued participant in the Cookeville Newcomers Club and Mended Hearts, where she forged lasting friendships and offered support to those around her. An avid card player, she shared countless afternoons laughing and enjoying the company of her friends.
She is lovingly remembered by her son, Brian Thiesen of Cookeville, and her daughter, Suzanne (Dan) Minton of Wisconsin. Arlene’s legacy continues through her grandchildren: Brad (Kim) Minton, Jennifer (Jason) Dye, Samantha (Stephen) Franklin, and Nick (Taylor) Thiesen, along with her seven great-grandchildren, who each carry a piece of her generous spirit.
Arlene's inurnment will take place at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, Wisconsin.
Her warmth, love, and unwavering support will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
