Born on April 16, 1932, in Eldorado, Ohio, Barbara's life was one marked by love, dedication, and a gentle strength that quietly shaped the lives around her.

From her earliest days as the cherished daughter of Harry and Ethel Kessler Martin, Barbara learned the values of compassion and resilience. These qualities blossomed throughout her life as she lovingly cared for her family and home, creating a sanctuary filled with comfort and unwavering support. Her role as a homemaker was not merely a title but a calling through which she expressed her deepest affections and unwavering commitment.

Barbara shared a life filled with love alongside her husband, Jim Sliger, that was a source of mutual strength and happiness. Together, they raised a son, Dick Sliger.

While her parents, beloved husband, and son have preceded her in death, the legacy Barbara leaves behind is enduring. She remains a beacon of tenderness and integrity for all who were fortunate to know her. 

As we remember Barbara, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life that, in its simplicity and grace, enriched the world quietly but profoundly. Her journey from Eldorado to Tennessee was one grounded in love and care.
