COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Rebecca "Becky" Petra Grossheim, age 73, passed away Saturday August 29, 2026 at her home.
Becky was born in Williston, North Dakota. She lived in North Dakota, Washington, California, and, ultimately, where her heart truly belonged, in Tennessee. Becky had a long and fulfilling career in medical records, culminating in 16 years as Health Information Manager at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, Tennessee.
Becky loved nature. Every home she lived in ended up having beautiful gardens and hummingbirds that would fly back to her year after year. She was also known for her love of good food and a glass of wine — especially over a family game of Scrabble. What brought Becky the most joy, however, was being "Gigi" to her four grandchildren. She treasured hearing every detail about their lives and was immensely proud of Madie, Maverick, Alex, and Katie. Becky will be most remembered for her kindness, positive attitude, quiet strength, and the appreciation she had for life, family, and friends.
Becky was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Boechler; sister, Priscilla Boechler; and, most painfully, her youngest daughter, Samantha Grossheim.
She is survived by the love of her life and husband of 54 years, Ralph Grossheim Jr.; mother, Darlene Boechler; daughter and son-in-law, Kristina and Eric Stansell; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Shane Peck; beloved grandchildren, Madilyn Peck, Maverick Peck, Alexander Stansell, and Katherine Rebecca Stansell; her brothers, Greg Boechler and Dwight Boechler and their wives; and her in-laws, whom she loved dearly, Gail Grossheim, Reanie Miller, Todd Grossheim, and Kurt Grossheim.
No services are planned at this time.
