Bennie Clifton Skimmiehorn

DYER CHAPEL-Bennie Clifton Skimmiehorn, a respected member of the Baxter community, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, December 5, 2025 at the age of 94. Born on January 4, 1931, in Bloomington Springs, TN, Bennie lived a life filled with purpose and dedication, touching the hearts of many who knew him.

A proud veteran, Bennie served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. His commitment to his country is a testament to his character and strong sense of duty. Following his military service, he built a successful career, retiring from Dana Corporation, where he was known for his hard work and reliability.

Bennie had a deep love for the outdoors, finding joy in both hunting and fishing. 

He leaves behind a host of cherished nieces and nephews, who will carry forward his legacy of love and resilience. Bennie was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Willie and Mary Hamlet Skimmiehorn, along with numerous siblings.
