COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Lou Lowe will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 1:00 pm in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper, Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Bro. Danny Hembree will officiate.

Her family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Betty departed this world on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the age of 75. She was born January 28, 1950, in Rockwood, Tennessee.

Betty attended Pine View Elementary in Crab Orchard, TN, and graduated from Cumberland County High School. She pursued her passion for beauty, attending beauty school and contributing her talents as a beautician in Germany while her husband served in the U.S. Army. Betty flourished as a florist at Abel Gardens in Cookeville, working alongside her sister-in-law, Liz. Together, they created countless floral arrangements that brightened the lives of many, embodying Betty's loving spirit and artistic flair.

Betty held steadfast to her Christian faith as a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church, where her generous heart and kindness earned her the love and admiration of her community. She was often described as a good Christian woman who was a source of light in the lives of everyone she met. Betty found joy in decorating her home and treasured her travels with family, creating lasting memories and experiences.

Betty is survived by her sons, Travis and Kelli Lowe and Erick Lowe, along with her grandchildren, Myka and Maci Lowe, Adrienne Lowe, and Kandace Gibson. She is also survived by her brother Ray Abel and wife Liz of Cookeville and her sister Jane and husband Ray Crawhorn of Kingston, TN, who shared countless moments of laughter and love with her throughout her life.

Betty will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mary Lequire Abel; her husband of 44 years, Glen Richard Lowe; and her sister, June Wofford. As her family gathers to honor her memory, they carry forth the lessons of love, compassion, and unwavering faith that she instilled in them.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
