Beverly Jo Hall

COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Beverly Jo Hall, born on May 8, 1954, in Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at her home in Shelbyville, Tennessee, surrounded by family and friends, on Saturday September 20, 2025 at the age of 71. Her journey through life was marked by her unwavering faith, devotion to family, and commitment to ministry, as well as her interesting and playful personality.

Beverly moved to Cookeville, Tennessee in 1966. It was in this vibrant community that she met her high school sweetheart, Carl Hall in 1969. Their love blossomed over three years, culminating in their marriage on June 30, 1973, at Summerfield United Methodist Church in Cookeville.

In her early years, she worked as a beautician at the Orient Salon in Cookeville. In 1988, Beverly and Carl, along with their 2 children, relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma where they attended Bible School, in pursuit of a heartfelt calling into the ministry of the Gospel. By 1992, they had settled in Shelbyville, where they felt called to establish Victory Celebration Revival Church. It was there that Beverly's compassionate heart and tireless spirit shone brightly, as she worked diligently alongside Carl, fostering a community of faith that continues to thrive.

Beverly was not only a faithful wife but also a loving mother to her two children: daughter Jill (Adam) Parks of Shelbyville and son Matthew Hall of Murfreesboro. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her own family; she was deeply involved in the children's ministry, sharing her love for God with the younger generation. Beverly's heart was one of compassion, always ready to extend hospitality and support to her church family when they needed it most.

Beverly is survived by her beloved husband, Pastor Carl Hall; her daughter Jill (Adam) Parks and son Matthew Hall; brothers Harold Shelley and Roger (Teresa) Shelley; sisters Linda (Gary) Cope and Brenda (Taylor) Reed; and cherished grandchildren Caylee and Chloe Parks and Eva Hall. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by several nieces and nephews.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, J Glea and Margaret Norris Shelley, as well as her sisters, Julia Shelley Bowman and Jessie Hull; nephews, Jamie and Jeremy Shelley; and her niece, Amber Shelley.
