Billy Delaney

Funeral services for Billy Louis Delaney, 87 of Cookeville, will be Thursday, November 17 at 1 PM from the Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Edmond Dyer Cemetery. Bro. Steadman Livingston will officiate.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 11 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Delaney died Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

He was born April 15, 1935 in Silver Point, Tennessee to the late Byrd and Mary Alice Johnson Delaney.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Judy Sandra Pippin Delaney on February 7, 2011 and several sisters and brothers.

Billy was a retired bridge foreman in the construction industry.

Survivors include daughter Teresa Busby of Somerville, Alabama, son Jeff (Maria) Delaney of Baxter, grandchildren: Brad (Stephanie) Delaney, Samantha Busby and Beth Meek, great-grandchildren: Elijah Meek, Sean Schaefer, Christa Dukes, Lauren Delaney, Audrey Delaney, Isaiah Delaney, Emily Delaney, Wyatt Delaney, Joshua Delaney, Olivia Delaney, Garrett Delaney, great-great grandchildren: Willow and Jaxson Dukes.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
