Bob Rust

COOKEVILLE CHAPEL-Robert Loren (Bob) Rust was born August 10, 1951 and left this world on June 16, 2025 at age 73. Bob was born in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Bob graduated from the University of Utah with a double major in Psychology and Sociology.  He moved to Cookeville, Tennessee in the 70’s as part of the ”back to the land” movement and began a sprouting facility that became a worldwide business . Bob was the founder and owner of International Specialty Supply in Cookeville until 2011 when he sold the business. Bob accomplished much success in the sprouting industry, specifically related to equipment, seed, packaging and food safety.

Bob is survived by his wife of 26 years, Kat Rust, and by his brother, Dr. Frank Rust and wife Kam Rust of Santa Barbara, CA.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Jeanne Rust, a brother Frank, Jr. and a sister Donna, all of Salt Lake City, Utah.
