Bobby Charles Angel

BAXTER CHAPEL-Bobby Charles Angel, age 54, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Baxter, Tennessee, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. He was born on November 10, 1971, in Royal Oak, Michigan, to Steve Angel and Carolyn Sue Herron, both of whom survive him.

Bobby dedicated much of his career to being a truck driver for John Herron Trucking Company, where he was known for his hard work and dedication. His profession took him to many places, but his heart remained anchored in Baxter, where he created a life filled with love and laughter.

Beyond his work, Bobby was a man of diverse interests. He found joy in riding his Harley motorcycle, skillfully playing his guitar, and spending time by the lake; pursuits that brought him peace and reflected his zest for life. 

Bobby is survived by his father, Steve (Barbara) Angel, and his mother, Carolyn Sue Herron, all of Baxter. He is also survived by his sister, Tammy Lynn Angel of Baxter, and his half-sister, Melissa Angel, also of Baxter; his special friend, Lisa Penticuff and her son, Boyce Penticuff. He was a doting uncle to his nieces, Kourtney Whittaker and Brianna Burke, and his nephews, Dakota Whittaker and Mason Burke. He was particularly proud to be a great uncle to Addison Whittaker and Gracie Bear. Bobby cherished his extended family, which includes his aunts, Pam Rodgers (Roger Tramel) and Debbie (Larry) Frazier, and his cousin, Josh Herron.

Bobby is predeceased by his beloved grandparents, Melvin "Babe" and Georgia Herron, and Johnny and Betty Swafford Angel, as well as his nephew, Jonathan Angel, and his uncle, John Herron. Their memories remain etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A visitation in honor of Bobby will be held at Baxter Chapel, located at 532 4th Street, Baxter, TN, on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at the same location, starting at 1:00 PM. Pastor Chad Simcox will officiate. Burial will follow in Dobbs Cemetery in Baxter.

Bobby Charles Angel's legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness and infectious enthusiasm for life. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
