COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Bonnie Dixon, born on September 23, 1943, in Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 2, 2026, at Signature Health Care in Algood, Tennessee. A woman of remarkable determination and steadfast resolve, Bonnie was known for her unwavering spirit and strength.
Bonnie dedicated herself to serving the Livingston community through various roles. She worked at Overton Apparel, Family Dollar, and the Livingston Shirt Factory before working in the housekeeping department at Livingston Regional Hospital, from which she retired. She had a strong work ethic and sense of duty.
Bonnie found joy and comfort in her Baptist faith. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with family.
Bonnie is survived by her sons, Harlen Dixon and his wife Grace, and Harold Dixon; her daughter, Lesa Dixon; as well as her sister, Francis Wood. She also leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry forth her legacy of determination and love.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Mattie Tinch; husband, James Dixon; and brothers, Raybon, Melvin Jr., and R.C. Tinch; and sister, Betty Harris.
Private services and interment were held at Carter Bilbrey Cemetery in Overton County, Tennessee.
