Brenda Elrod

Funeral services for Brenda Ann "MA" Elrod, 71 of Baxter, will be Saturday, March 11 at 3 PM at the Hope Church in Algood (205 W. Wall St.). Interment will follow in Boiling Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home Friday from 5 to 7 PM and at the church after 2 PM until service time. Pastor Jason Yarbrough and Pastor Stephen Simmons will officiate.

Brenda went home to Heaven to be with her Lord, Thursday, March 9, 2023 at her home.

She was born September 11, 1951 in Cookeville to the late Loal Gene and Audrie Bell Sherrell Delaney.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother Terry Delaney.

She was a member of Hope Church.

Brenda worked in Financial Aid at Tennessee Tech University for over 33 years. She enjoyed taking care of her flowers, chickens, going to church and helping others.

Survivors include husband of 51 years Harold Elrod of Baxter, son Shannon (Melissa) Elrod of Baxter, brothers Jerry (Kay) Delaney, Perry Delaney all of Sparta, Jimmy (Nicole) Delaney of Cookeville, grandchildren: Austin Elrod Breedlove, Justin Elrod Coleman, Joshua Elrod and Evan Elrod special friend Libby Bridges-Phillips.
