Buster Lee Kelly

BAXTER CHAPEL-Buster Lee Kelly, 86 of Jackson County, TN, passed away at his home on Monday, July 6, 2026. He was born on March 24, 1940, in Buffalo Valley, TN, 

He was preceded in death by his parents, W D and Florence Whitehead Kelly; his brothers Billy James Kelly and Robert Lee Kelly; and his son Ralph Gamble. 

He is survived by his daughter, Stella (Jordan) Fletcher of Cookeville, and stepchildren Jimmy (Angie) Farley and Roberta Gamble both of Cookeville, and Brenda (Robert) Keith of Baxter; his brother Johnny Ray Kelly of Cookeville; sisters Shirley Parks of Cookeville, and Betty Jean (Dale) Watts of Baxter; and his granddaughter, Caroline Grace Fletcher.

Buster was a hard worker. He mowed yards and did small engine repair.  He enjoyed fishing and working on his lawn mowers.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Baxter Chapel, located at 532 4th Street, Baxter, TN 38544. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the same location. Bro. Jason Bryant will officiate. Interment will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery in Buffalo Valley, TN.

Buster Lee Kelly’s memory will be forever cherished by his family and friends, who are grateful for the time, lessons, and love that he provided so generously during his lifetime.
