COOKEVILLE CHAPEL-Carl Foster passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, at his residence. Born on October 1, 1943, in Mocksville, North Carolina, Carl lived a life full of remarkable achievements and cherished memories.

Carl enjoyed a distinguished career as an industrial engineer, demonstrating his expertise through a variety of roles in respected organizations around the world. His work took him across continents, offering him the opportunity to engage with diverse cultures and industries. He began his career with Burlington Industries, spending just under a year in Brazil, followed by an 18-month assignment in England. He then returned to the U.S. to work at Burlington Industries in Erwin, North Carolina. Next, Carl joined West Point Pepperell, where he worked in both Lumberton and Clinton, North Carolina. His journey continued with Greenwood Mills, starting in Rome, Georgia, and later moving to the corporate headquarters in Greenwood, South Carolina. It was during this time that his professional travels took him to Pakistan. Later, Carl relocated to Cookeville, Tennessee, to work with Aquatech, which marked the beginning of a new chapter of travel—this time to England once again. He concluded his career at Tenneco Automotive in Smithville, retiring at the age of 65.

Carl was not only known for his professional success but also for his wonderful sense of humor that endeared him to colleagues and friends alike. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, consistently demonstrating deep affection and devotion to his family.

Carl was a proud graduate of Davie County High School in Mocksville, North Carolina. Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoyed pursuing various interests and hobbies. An avid golfer, he found joy on the golf course, and his love for music was evident as he played in a band with his brothers during his teenage years, appreciating many genres throughout his life.
