Funeral services for Carolyn Ann Pippin, age 75 of Cookeville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday November 19 at the Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Bro. John Mabery will officiate. Interment will follow at Edmund Dyer Cemetery in the Pippin Community of Putnam County. Her family will receive friends Thursday from 5 - 7 p.m. and again Friday from 10 a.m. until time of services. Carolyn passed away Monday evening November 15, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born September 6, 1946 in Jackson County, TN to the late Albert L. and Ethel G. Mayberry Flatt. Carolyn was a member of Center Grove Church of Christ. She graduated in 1964 from Jackson County High School as valedictorian. She was homemaker and a retired real estate broker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Edward (Carol) Flatt and Glen Raymond (Joy) Flatt; infant sister, Mary Jean Flatt; and father and mother-in-law, Vera Anderson and James Bethel Pippin. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Paul Pippin, whom she married October 31, 1964; son, James (Darlene) Pippin of Dekalb Co.; daughter, Laura Pippin of Cookeville; granddaughter, Kristin (Jake) Short; great grandsons, Emmitt, Everett, and Jake Short and several nieces and nephews.
