Cathy Dilldine

DYER CHAPEL-Cathy Dilldine, age 70 of Cookeville, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at her residence. She was born on January 29, 1955 in Cookeville, TN. Cathy was a compassionate individual who dedicated her career to providing home health care, touching the lives of many with her kindness and unwavering work ethic.

In addition to her career, Cathy's personality shone through in her interactions with others. She was known for her hard work, humor, and genuine love for animals, qualities that endeared her to family, friends, and those she cared for throughout her life.

Cathy is survived by her two sons, Stuart and Heath Dilldine; her brother, Lewis Medlin; and her cherished grandchildren, Railey, Heath Jr., and Aaliah Dilldine. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion that will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fowler and Burneth "Neda" Burgess Medlin; her first husband, Ray Dilldine; and her second husband, Harvey Summers.

A funeral service to honor Cathy will be held at 11 a.m. Monday August 18 at the Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Visitation for friends and family will be Sunday from 4 - 6 p.m. and again Monday from 9 - 11 a.m. Pastor Steve Tiebout will officiate.

Cathy Dilldine's memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her, as her love and spirit continue to inspire and uplift those she left behind.
