Charles Elbert Acton

Funeral Services for Charles Elbert Acton, age 30 of Sparta, will be Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at North Sparta Church of God in Sparta TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday August 13, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service with burial following in the Plainview Cemetery in the Cassville community. Mr. Acton passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at his home. He was born January 17, 1981 in Demopolis AL to Jimmy C. Acton Jr. and the late Patricia Haskins. Charles is survived by his wife Kendeal Harville Acton of Sparta two children Aubrey and Austin Acton. Charles is also survived by his father, Jimmy C. Acton Jr. and step mother Lynn Acton of Gainesville AL, three sisters; Constance (Midget) Woods and husband Darren of Gainesville AL, Crystal Thompson and her husband David of Bay St. Lewis MS, and Erica Givens and her husband Derick of Tuscon AZ; one brother Jimmy Acton III of Bay St. Lewis MS. and two step brothers, Kenneth Allen Dodson JR and his wife Teresa of Gainesville AL, and Walter Franklin Dodson of Gainesville AL. Mr Acton also leaves behind one grandmother Buren Acton of Gainesville AL. as well as several nieces and one nephew, along with a host of friends and other loved ones. Mr. Acton was preceded in death by his mother Patricia Haskins, an infant sister, Monica Acton and his grandparents Jimmy C. Acton Sr., Ophelia Beverly, and Charles Huston Eatmon Sr.; one uncle, Charles Eatmon and one aunt Mary Jane McCory as well as one niece Ivory Thompson and his great-grandfather and namesake Elbert Acton. Bro. Leon Jones will officiate the service.
