DYER CHAPEL-With great sadness and the deepest regards, we announce the sudden passing of Courtney Marie Knight (Soon to be Denson), who left this world on September 3, 2026.

Courtney was born July 6, 2004 in Cookeville, TN, where she lived life to the fullest, did everything with love, led with empathy and she was known for leaving an unforgettable impact on anyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Courtney was the proud and beloved daughter of Dewayne and Anne Bates Knight.

Courtney's love, compassion and unmatched joy and kindness were just the foundations of how she approached each and every day. Everywhere she went and with everyone she encountered, Courtney left impressions that could only be cherished for eternity.

She is preceded in death by grandparents: Marvin "Skip" Bates and Bill and Rose Mary Knight.

Courtney graduated from Upperman High School In Baxter in 2023.

Courtney is survived by her parents, Dewayne and Anne Knight, siblings Matthew Randolph and Brittany Knight, grandmother Joyce Bates, niece and nephew, Briley and Brayden Flatt, best friend Tierra Godwin, and fiance, partner and soon to be husband and love of her life, Johnathan Denson and aunts, uncles and cousins.

While her time may have been short, she was unforgettable and truly one of a kind. Courtney was the most devoted fiance, best friend, sister, daughter and the most irreplaceable babysitter.

With the utmost love and appreciation, her family extends the biggest and most sincere "Thank You" to all who have provided and offered love, support and thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Courtney's family lovingly expresses and shares from her favorite Disney movie, Moana, "There is nowhere you could go that I won't be with you." Courtney Knight will forever be cherished and loved in memory by all.

A Celebration of Life will be Monday, September 7, 2026 at 5 PM from the Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home, 798 South Willow Avenue, Cookeville, TN. The family will receive friends Monday from 1 PM until service time at the funeral home. Family members will officiate.
